i found a mention of a ken flanders of medford in the september 1987 slant 6 news he fitted a slant 6 into a datsun 240zed , it was a 170ci with a 4 speed. if anyone can give me details on this swap or if ken can be contacted i would be very greatful.its on page 8 in the portland chapter spring meet.

Don't know about that one, but I have a buddy who put a 225/833/8-3/4 in a '58 Triumph TR-3. It was a real hoot to ride in, wish he'd get it out again. :shock:

Slantzilla,my mother had two TR-3's,a 60 and a 59 but she sold them because of lack of parts(this was back in 80 before the influx of communication),most folks in our small town had no idea that a Triumph was also a car not just motorcycles. I was 12 at the time and Buick v-6 motors were hot and thought that one would be great in that small car.
The 60 had knock-offs and my mother had one come off in parking lot at low speed(no damage) and was always wary of it after that.

Yeah, Eric's has the knock offs on it too. There's a good reason why they outlawed them on the street back in the '60's. Corvettes had issues at times too.

Eric does have a 280Z with a small block Chevy in it now that I think about it.

Yes, he is kinda weird like that. :D
