Hello new to the board.

I Need to Rebuild A-250 is this covered in the Shop manual for the vehicle?

If not are there resources out there about rebuilding this transmission Specifically..

Can Find nothing on the net for New Process A250 or A-250

Thanks

In trucks most used the A745 3 speed, does your trans have a
top plate (stamped plate on the top of the trans) or does it have
a side plate were the shift arms come out

It is a Top Loader (Plate on Top) and the Shift Arms are mounted on the side.. The Truck Appears to be ex-Military (Air Force Blue over Older Airforce blue with Stenceling in various places). The Data Place says A250 in the transmission field..

Thanks

Myself, have never heard of a A250, does not mean that there isn't one.
However, I am willing to bet it's a A745, it's about the only 3 speed used
at that point in time by any thing Mopar

OK i will try to take some pics of the transmission this week..

I have two (One in the truck) Stuck in 2nd gear right after install per Seller.

One on the Bed of the truck.. (What was in the truck before the current stuck in 2nd one)...

I assume but have not verified they are the same Transmission.. It is also an assumption that they are the type identified on eh data plate.. (a250) But i really don't know that either..

My Oldest Dodge product to date prior to this was a 1975 Dodge Pickup with a 318/Auto. I have not dealt much with Mopar Sticks.. (1983 charger was the exception but of course not helpful in this instance)...

What i am really trying to find out if the Shop Manual would have a Rebuilding guide or a least the Specs for Torque on bolts etc and anything that needs to be measured for tolerances.. ???

This will be my first Manual trans rebuild..

Thanks.

The year to your truck should have the rebuild guide for what ever
trans came in your truck stock that year...
My 67 manule has rebuild guides for>
745 3 speed top load side shift,

T87E 3 speed top load with shift arms out
the top

All the 4 speeds, 5 speeds (large truck) and the loadflite 727

Ok that is great i will get the Shop Manual and see what it says.. Was thinking i would have to find a Transmission Specific manual but was having no luck doing that.
