decieded to fill the b'cuda up for the 1st time, and the rubber gasket where the filler goes into the tank leaks.

would have replaced it if it had come with the new tank. in any case, anyone know where to get that gasket?

Try Harden's, Year One, The Paddock, or Rock Auto

I got mine a few years ago from Layson's with no problems, but the company does not seem to enjoy a good reputation.

H'mmm...why are we recommending companies that don't seem to have the part? ;-)

Year One
Yep, they have it

The Paddock
They have it, too.

Layson's
Sending money to Layson is foolhardy under any circumstance. See here and here, for openers.

Note the word, "Try" in my post, not "I recommend".

Many, many businesses have parts in inventory not listed on the electronic catalog (and vice versa). An inquiry to the contacts listed there can sometimes yield such parts.
In addition, a few inquiries now and then to companies that carry similar items might give them the idea that there is a market for early-A parts. That would be a good thing.

I found it by going through the "Dodge/Plymouth", "Dodge/Plymouth Fuel" sequence. It looks like Dan did the same. The search engines are not perfect and often lead one astray.
It's like the old library - the card catalog was nice, but a stroll through the stacks was time well spent.

BTW, poke around in Rock Auto's site a bit before giving up on a particular part. Some common parts listed under the 170 are not listed for the 225. This also might be true for years and models, if you know the interchange.

Rock Auto is a great source for parts, but I found that they often don't list a part for Valiants, but do have them listed for Darts. I now search every possibility with other models that I know to be interchangeable.

Sometimes that doesn't work, but you can just search on a part number if you're sure it's right and find what you want.
