The 225 was available in vans in North America from 1964 (when the original Dodge A-100 vans were introduced) through 1987 (in the B-series vans that were introduced in 1971). For 1988, the "3/4 of a 318" 3.9 V6 was introduced as a replacement (hah!) for the 225.
It is very difficult to find used parts for old vehicles up here in the frozen/rusty North. Those in BC have it a lot easier than those of us back East (grumble). You can multiply your search efficacy by using www.car-part.com , searchable used auto parts clear across North America (and you can narrow your search field by individual state/province, region, Canada-only, US-only, etc.) Results show parts from all models and years that are an exact direct interchange; the actual interchangeability is often quite a bit wider than the results. For example, any 225 from a 1968 or later Chrysler Corp. vehicle (car, truck, van...) would've fit your '84 as long as you use the '84 oil pan and oil pickup tube. So, should you need parts in future, it's good to ask on here.
