What is the biggest cam MP made for our slanties? Where is the part number of Clifford headers? Suppossed to be from a 70 Duster. I know a guy that used to race sixes and has a Clifford intake, headers and the "biggest MP" cam. I am buying a 74 225 Duster. |

IIRC, the biggest MP cam was the .528" lift, also the cam that eats oil pump gears. I think the only Clifford headers left are the universal "shorties". For a Duster, I personally like the MP 6X1. It will make better power than the Cliffords. |

Well these headers are at least 10 years old. I asked if he could get me some numbers off them. Oil pump gears are not a good thing! What's the fix? |

IF it is an older .528 it may not eat gears. However, the one that I have that did would be in the 10-12 y/o range too. The .528 will want lots of gear, carb, compression, and headwork. It makes really good mid and top end power. I really liked it until it killed my motor. |

Sounds like like more OOOMPH than I would want to get out of a slant. That cam maybe older. Maybe there is a way of finding out. WE'll cross that bridge when we come to it. |

I have a CompCam grind that Barry Harrison runs and it is radical cam. But it will work with nitrios or with out. Another racer put this cam in his car last year and his car picked up time over a Ultradyne cam he was running. But this not a street cam it is a race cam only.
