Hello, scrolling through ebay, I found a "super deluxe repair kit" for a torqueflite 904 but it comes in two flavours : 60-71 / 72-up How can I identify mine? Oh and by the way... is rebuilding an auto trans (with a valve body change) a job that should be left to professionals? What is the hard stuff in it? Marc |

Trans ID info here. What brand is this super-duper rebuild kit on eBay? Building a trans is a big enough job that I'd want to insist on reputable brand-name parts. |

The 904 is a very simple transmission, so I would do it myself, but it does depend on how you feel about it... Just be careful, and take your time, and don´t drop the little valve balls! Maybe take a few pics so you see where they were |

And here's my trans number : 1532Y 2380527 Well I'm pretty sure it lacks some numbers at the beginning but couldn't get them right this time... |
