Post subject:  '60 valve cover

In Mopar Muscle there is a '60 only valve cover that is "rare",
it is not stepped to allow clearance for the '60 heater box
as it was only used with the 170 in a Valiant. In '61 the
taller 225 required the clearance. Anyone have one of
these ?

Tim,

They used this valve cover on the '60 225 Darts also. These covers have two "risers" on them - one at the front for the breather and one at the back for the road tube.

I have 1 that does not have cut outs for the tabs from the gasket-- it is a little different thant the others I 've collected

If this is the one you're referring to, it was used on the full size cars then as well. If not, I'd be curious to see a picture of the one you do want (when you get it, of course).

Yep, that is the '60-only valve cover, which was indeed used on all 1960 slant-6 applications (170s in Valiants, 225s in Plymouths and Darts).
