It depends on how much camshaft you are using.
Unless you are using a real monster, you should have plenty of clearance.

Will my 1.77 intake and 1.44 exghaust valves work on ahead with .50 shaved off it? Will it hit my stock pistions? |

i had a 540lift/ 255deg 0.050 with 1.80 intake/1.60ex valve, 0.080 off the head and .140 off the block,the valve to piston(stock0.060oversize) clearance of 0.065 int and 0.070 ex. |
