| Post subject: | Better clutch for 225 |
I need a better clutch for my -65 valiant. i have a stock clutch. i've heard that is possible to put a small block v8 engine clutch in 225 by little modifications? is it possible? most of all i want a clutch that dosent slip.. i have a manuan 3 speed transmission ( i belive its from mid 70`s chyrsler because it has a syncroniced 1 first gear (was not a option in 65 model) when i try to burn rubber the clutch is slipping (back tyres are size 265/60 R 14). When i´m burning rubber with my winter tyres (size 175/65 R 14 there´s no proplem.. i changed the clutch and pressureplate couple of years ago. the problem was the same and now the clutch / pressure plate are old and worn. i have to change then anyway, so why not tune it up i would be very happy if someone could help me |

Check here for upgrades No v-8 Clutches / Pressure plates in a slant - Unless you mean the Small ones used in the 273's - they are the same as a slant. The link should point you in the correct dorection. http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22859 Greg |
