does anyone make an open element aircleaner to fit the holley 1920? about 10inch diameter? |

Some people aren't crazy about an open-element air cleaner, but they look cool.  I have one(brand-new) for sale, but be warned: It's a "home-aid" version!  It looks like a hundred bucks on the engine, but it isn't as nice underneath. PM me with your E-mail, and I'll send you some pics if you want. BigBlockBanjo |

The unsilenced air cleaners used in the '60s are the same as an open element cleaner. The ones from '67-'69 were about 10". |

WHYZAT?It's also harder to hook up a "positive"(?) PVC system....you have to run a small breather on the valve cover. I'm sure I forgot another reason. Oh yeah, you lose your carb "hot-air" system. Pro's and Con's. Just make sure you like it, it's your car. It's not like you can't change it right back if you don't like it. My .02 BBBanjo |
