I'm looking for fender tags for original 62-65 cars that were manufactured at the Los Angeles assembly plant. fender tags from this era for Lynch Rd and Hamtramck plant cars can be decoded with help from Govier's book, or online decode services, but decode information for LA cars is not documented and seems to be largely unknown. I'm hoping to change that, so it will be easier for folks.

please contact me if you have an LA fender tag. either a picture or a description (example: "3 under A, 2 under C, etc..", or "A/3 C/2 etc..") I 'll tell you as much as I know about it and it'll help me figure out the LA codes.

LA built cars have a "5" in the 4th position of the vin (Newark "6", St. Louis "7", Export "8")
