Here is one that I didnt see coming.
I had the cat changed and almost everything is cleared up.
I am guessing that I had just the right exhaust leak that allowed for me to run and only when under load would the valves get pushed back open causing all my noise (what I thought was piston knock).
I have never seen anything like this. I have seen many different cat problems and can usually say that is the "Cat" but this takes the cake. Even my shifting is smoother. I still hear a little knocking but nothing like before and I can go up a hill with out a problem.
I am still thinking about the rebuild but that can possabily wait unitl I can do it myself.

Here is another question, can the oil pan be removed without lifting the engine? 81 Ram 150. I would like to take a look and see what it looks like in there and replace my pan gasket with something that does not let those little black spots by.
