The easiest way to work on a /6 in a truck is to jump right in and do it. Which is what my wife did when my son's head gasket blew on our '81 D- 150. She cooked a hell of a dinner while we took a break to reinstall the manifolds.  The photo is a little dark, but here's the finshed project.

That picture says a lot! She's a keeper. On a side note, the photo shows something else I love about our old vehicles: You CAN get into the engine bay. |

WOW!! a woman who cooks, and does motor repairs?? does she have a sister? a daughter? does she work on vans? How about V8's (a 305 in a pontiac station wagon; a 318 in a 1973 fury)? Proof that all the good ones are taken. Makes me want to forget i'm a confirmed bachelor... |
