Anyone know where I can get a new fuel sending unit?
Mine reads full for about 80 miles and then goes to empty.

Thanks,

Mopar dealer. P/N 4051-004. Or, www.rockauto.com . The correct unit is the one with the 5/16" pipe.

I stopped by the dealership and boy are they proud of their sending units.
They wanted $170 just for the sending unit. I asked if it that included it being installed and there was a quick no.
I found a sender with gauge at NAPA for $35.
Who has them online?

See my first response to your query in this very thread.

(Why do people even ask questions if they're not going to read the replies they get...?!)

Hi Mister Twister. Just as an aside here. Do you know that your website does not do anything? there is no contact option . Just a static page.Anyway just wondering if you knew.

This is for your truck? Or some other vehicle?

Ahhhh, that explains why none of the sources you're being given are panning out. You're being given numbers and sources for A-body senders, which aren't the same as truck senders. As far as I know, there's no aftermarket source for these senders; it's a dealer-only item. P/N depends on whether you have a 20-gallon tank ( 4075 252 ) or a 30-gallon tank ( 4075 254 ). Both of those P/Ns are NS-1 (discontinued, no stock, not serviced). The 1983 senders 4075 376 (20-gal) and 4075 378 (30-gal) are still available.

Barring finding a good used one, or having yours rebuilt (this outfit advertises that service in Hemmings) I fear you'll have to bite the bullet and buy an '83 sender and see if you can make it work :-(

It might be possible to fix the truck sender.............

If it's not hard to get out, take it out and see if it's fixable, cleanable, etc........
