The chain and crank gear for the Mopar Big Block will fit a slant; they are readily available from sumerous sources including Rock Auto and Summit. The cam gear is not interchangeable. |

I know a few guys on here have bought the Hughes chains and have been happy. The Cox brothers also used to have chains from a couple suppliers. There was talk a while back about an Aussie gear drive, but I don't know if it ever developed. I ran a gear drive in a small block Chevy once. It sucked. |

I have purchased the double roller timing set from Hughes. I was happy with their service, shipped quickly, the product mounted up no problem, and the machine shop who assembled my short block gave the product a thumbs up. I liked the price too. The engine now has about 25,000 miles on it, with no problems. |
