So my trunk lock is done for. I ordered another one, but how can I get the cylinder out when I can't get into the trunk? I called the locksmith, but they said they didn't have the parts and wont use any I ordered. Advice? |

I went at mine by removing the back seat. There should be a little arm sticking through the latch assembly, grab ahold of it with a pair of pliers, and gently rotate it counterclockwise (looking at it from inside the truk). That'll get it open for ya... |

And if all you see is a slot, stick a screwdriver in it and turn to the right. That's in case the bar from the cylinder to the latch has fallen out. |

Mission accomplished, I managed to break the cylinder with a screwdriver and it opened the latch. Replaced the lock and we are good to go! This was attempted only after coming to the conclusion that I cant get the backseat off, because my driver seat is welded into the upright position. Good to know. |

Agreed. I can only assume it broke, and this was the quickest way to fix it. |
