And it's happening to my car too. Is the bracket from the lower radiator support to the latch mechanism and grill supposed to be straight on my Valiant? It takes an act of congress to get the hood to latch. The vertical bracket looks like it has a twist in it. I raised the latch up, and it latches with force, but theres a big gap between the hood and the grill now. Not right. CJ 74 Valiant |

Likely!  CJ Edit: All fixed. The support had dropped on the lower radiator support. Much happier. |
