I just bought a '67 dart with a pretty strong recently rebuilt slant 6.

I'm curious to what after market headers are available for this engine and where I might find one.

I've been looking at getting an Offenhouser intake to mate to a decent 4 barrel carb. I'm not looking to built a world class drag car but would like a little more power then what she has now.

Does anyone have any advise on the best way to go about converting to an electronic ignition? Does the Mopar unit work well?

Thanks in advance....

Is it a one barrel or two barrel carb right now? The two barrel intake/carb is alot of bang for your buck. What gears are in the diff?

There may be a tag on the diff cover with the ratio. If not do a search on here, there is a method to figure out what ratio you have. Going to a lower gear (higher number) gives some oomph, at the cost of slightly higher rpm. I put a holley 350 cfm carb on my super six intake, did some bowl blending behind the valves, matched the intake ports on the head to the ports on the inake, and added ford rear with 3.73 gears. What a difference.

What kind of header are you running with that set up? I'll check the case for numbers when I change the rear brakes and drums tomarow.

I do like the two barrel idea.

No header, stock exhaust manifold. If I were to go with a different exhaust, I would probably go with the dutra front manifold and modify my rear one.

I'd like to keep the cars automatic transmission, what would be a good carb set up for a super six intake? Are there any hangups I need to consider?
