Today I did my first in car cam swap, everything went fine,
But I got one question, I was not able to pull out the oilpump completely.
Can I reuse the old gasket or should I cut the upper end on a new gasket and then put it in place?
(Melling lifters, regrinded cam 272 0,420 110)

My $.02 is that if it wasn't leaking, a continuous old gasket would be better than a compromised new one. Three of a kind beats two pairs.
