what is the correct mopar part # for a small high torque starter. or is it just the 318/360 starter??

would it work on a 73 duster? i want to drop some weight off the motor and read some were that i can change the starter but i'm not sure what will fit.

Yes, one will work on your '73 engine, or any slant engine for that matter. I've read of some guys having issues with later units, maybe thats only on V8's though. Dan?

The '02+ units have no nosecone, so alignment and bushing wear can be a problem. Stick to the '89-'01 units and you'll be fine. See this post for info on the different terminal adaptors available in case you need extra clearance. And be advised that the "100% new!" starters you can buy locally at parts stores or off eBay are Chinese counterfeits, not the real deal.
