198ci con rods, everybody wants them :-) Found me a car which is supposed to have a 198 in it, how can I make sure it is? I remember there was a number stamped in somewhere, but i can´t recall where it´s located.
Thanks
Chris

Actually, it's on a pad on the top surface of the block near the front. Here's a picture. You may need to clean the area to see the numbers.

If the original motor is in the car, check the VIN on the dash. The fith digit will be B for 198, C for 225. There were also tune up stickers in the engine compartment with the motor size.

Oy yeah, my bad, that's visible on the BASE of the head, below the alternator, right? sorry, we only had 225 slants, and I was "playing by ear" having read this before right here at the forum.
