Sorry this will be long but I need all your ideas. I need to hear what you think I should do as it comes to getting my car back on the road. I have a 64 valiant 2dr with 225 three on tree that spun a rod bearing and pulled the motor to rebuild it back it 2003. Well I wanted to give it more power so I started to buy parts. Well long story short I have way to much money into storing this car and all my parts. heres a list of what I have 64 225 block and head stock one spun rod and main bearing 67 225 block w/forged crank needs bored scored walls 79 head milled .060 mild port back cut valves super six intake and exhaust manifolds offy 4bbl manifold holley carb and aircleaner comp cams 264s, new lifters, timing set set of oversize valves, keeper, locks, seals mopar performance valve springs rebuild kit and gaskets. still need new pistons. electronic ignition conversion snipper 4bbl nitrous system I also have a 64 valiant station wagon that has a 170 and 3speed that runs great. has some cancer The plan was to try to build a 14second car with the 67 block and forged crank bored.060 over ported head oversized valves 4bbl and nitrous. well I have way to much money into storing this car and am getting married in october. I am in located in NC and my parts and tools are in AZ. I am out of money and cant afford any machine work unless I sell the wagon. I am only asking $800 for a running driving car and still no buyers so my thought is pull the motor out of the wagon wich is a 170 and just get the 2dr driving so I can ship it out to NC. I really hate swapping to a 170 I want to build a strong quick car and don't want to crush the wagon. What do you guys think I should do any one want a wagon I will trade for a built short block. please all oppions are welcomed. Michael |

Please don't crush the wagon, there's so few left. How are the cylinders on the '64 block? can you get away with a good hone and re-ring even if it's just to get you by for a few years. It sounds like you have almost all the goodies to start building less the bearings. Slap it all together and go git married. Congrats by the way. |

Pat and Vdart thanks for the congrats. Yes she is very special and like going to carshows with me and lets me work on the car when money allows. The walls on the 64 block are great but one rod and one main bearings spun and the cank will need polished or reground. The forged engine has scored block from broken piston but good crank. I do not want to crush the wagon I just dont know of many other options. I have lots of the parts maybe more than I should have gotten. As time goes on I get more carried away with getting parts. The Wagon is located in Tucson AZ. If you want picts just send me your email and I can send them. Thanks Michael |
