I have a quick question. What is the difference or benifets to using a divided or open turbo inlet flange?

A divided tubine inlet also requires a divided exhaust manifold. The pulse energy in the exhaust helps drive the turbine. Most exhaust energy delivered to the turbine means more power to the compressor and more (earlier) boost. A large open collector damps these pulses.

Thanks. That is the explanation I was looking for.
