I took the Dart to Mopar Drags at Sacramento Raceway. I made it to the semi-finals before losing to another Slant 6er. I ran a best of 19.05 at 73. |

I took it out a week or so ago, and it did not run well at all, and I ran 19.7s and 19.8s at 69-70 mph. The next day, I went through it and got it all working and dialed in. It seems faster than it was before and it is running better than ever. I have to wait till February to race it again. |

It was fun to have two slants running, i am moving but will try to have my dart ready and running by the time the track opens up again! It should run in the 20's if it even runs at all!!! |

You know, that's exactly what I said when about my Dart before the Mopar race. It was fun, and I do like racing that car. I need to get it on the street so I can race it without having to borrow a trailer. That and I want to drive it on the street daily instead of the Nova.

In bracket racing it hardly matters the ET. I brought my very stock '67 Valiant to Medford and ran mid 19's all weekend long. The 2.76s and manual 3-speed made things a little hard on me, but I still had a ton of fun. I have big valves, springs, retainers, 2bbl and intake, 3.23 gears and 2 1/4" exhaust for the car. Now I just need Santa to open a machine shop with qualified elves to do the head machining. |
