Will a 73 Duster Slant 6 two barrel carb and intake work in a 63 Dart with a factory throttle cable?

If your 63 Dart has been converted to a later "cable type" linkage, the 73 carb will work.
All 63 SL6 cars had a mechanical "rod type" accelator linkage from the factory.

I still have the rod type. is there any way to adapt the rod type linkage to the 73 carb?

Yep, you can follow Old6Rodder's method, photo essay here. Note this will require a different intake manifold configuration (modified 1bbl intake). If you want to use the factory 2bbl intake, you have to convert to cable throttle.

Just to save you some potential parts-chasing hassle later, your 2bbl setup may have been found on a '73, but it didn't originally come on a '73. The 2bbl wasn't available in North America on the slant-6 until '76.
