| Post subject: | Exhaust Flapper Spring |
| Hey All, I need a new spring/coil for the exhaust flapper on my 66 ehxaust manifold. Is there any way I can adapt one from a 79 manifold? I am guessing that NAPA isn't going to have it. Is there a source for new ones? Also what is the little spring for on the other side? Does that jus help to keep the flapper rod centered? Are the flappers welded or brazed to the shaft? I am guessing they are not removable? Thanks guys, Chris E. | |

| I think I remember Dan saying the little spring was to prevent rattle. I could be wrong in my recollection. | |

| How do you get them out of the exhaust? Is the butterfly welded to the shaft? I tried to knock it through but, no budge. | |
