Hi,
I worked on the '72 Valiant today and was able to cruise around a bit and am convinced that I want to add sway bars front and rear. Can someone make a recommendation. The car will most likely keep the stock size wheels 14X4.5 wide and tires 185/75 -14, and will serve mostly as a daily driver. I have taken note that the lower control arms are the attachment point for the ends on the front bar, but my control arms do not have these attachment points. Will the aftermarket bars take this into consideration? will I need to switch or modify the control arms? Thanks in advance, Nico

I have addco bars, really improved the handling

They attach to the lower shock bolt.

And you want at least KYB shocks.

Dont bother with a rear bar.

A sway bar will make you want much more tire.( think 7" wide rims with 235/ 60 )

I disagree on the 'not needing a rear bar'.... depends on your springs. I have a rear bar and like it.

And it's fun 4-wheel drifting on small tires....

Of all the changes I've made to my '71 Plymouth B-body over 30 years, the single most dramatic improvement was to put on ADDCO front and rear sway bars. The next most dramatic was going to radial tires from bias ply.

I used a 1 1/8" front bar on my Satellite. Like others said, best thing I've done. I just used Monroematic gas shocks, so I have a nice ride, but hardly any lean in corners. I've found it also helps keeping the car straight in cross winds and driving in rain. The poly bushings are kinda loud though. Got mine from Just Suspension for $99 bucks. Its an Addco bar.
