Does anyone know where to get the old fashioned side body moldings that rivet on, then you put the insert on over that, then finish with end caps. I am trying to find a set for my 74 dart, JCwhitney used to sell them, but they have discontinued them. any help appreciated! |

There should be some studs sticking out, are those studs still there? I've got some of the trim from my '74 still. Anything that you need you can have. The parts attach with some plastic devices. I've got a few of those. PM Me with what you need. If I have it, we'll see if I can set you up. CJ |

Hi, I dont have anything at all, When i got the car, it had the "stick on" type of molding. I want to put on the oem style that uses rivets or screws to attach. Are you referring to the side molding or the lower rocker trim? I actually need both! I know what you are talking about with the little white plastic clips, i would have to drill holes in my body to attach the molding rather than use those clips. If you could send me a photo of what you have, i could let you know if it is what i need. thanks alot for the reply! |

It's the lower rocker trim stuff. I found five clips that were still in half way decent shape: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h93/H ... /00002.jpg And these are the rocker trim pieces from a 4 door '74 Valiant. They're a little dinged up, and shipping likely doesn't make these worth the trouble. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h93/H ... /00001.jpg I looked around for other stuff, but there have been multiple shop cleanings. Not much left over, I'm afraid. I need to go up to the loft and see what I squirreled away up there. It's probably underneath the remains of a Mirage kit I stuffed up there four years ago. My car had the glue on trim. My bad. I still have a bunch of chrome stuff from around windows and such. Not something I plan to put back on the car. A lot of it was damaged or missing, and it won't make the car go faster. CJ |

Just a thought on the side molding, might try an RV shop/repair.They used that type of trim for years and you bought it by the foot. You never know, good luck |
