Hey all, I've finally hit the point in the build where I'll be putting the finishing touches on the car and getting it together, and now I'm looking towards the exhaust. I've got the 3x2 full length headers, and wanted an old school nasty sound, figured on running a cherry bomb or two. The thing i was thinking was if I want to run a y into single, or duals with a crossover. Either way it will be a side exit, in front of the tire. I've heard that the dual sound is "unique," but that doesn't tell me much. Just looking for some inputs. Just a reminder, the engine is a 225, 9.5:1 compression ratio, ersons 280 cam, heads are pocket ported and blended, stock size valves back cut, aluminium 2x1 manifold with a BBD. |

If you're trying to make music, the recipe is duals all the way back without a crossover. Mufflers per your preference. |

Question for Dan 2.25 or 2.5 all the way back for duals? |

I run 2" all the way with no cross over(that's about max in a late duster body with clutch linkage) , I have a nice rumbly sound under 1000 rpm, nice purr up to about 1500, and the Jag 6 cylinder 'roar' about 1800-2200, then it starts the 'rasp' after 2300, and it's just a fleet of Suzuki Bikes in the 'drag range' (3500-6200 rpm)... Of course your intake and pietin selection will change some of this too... -D.Idiot |

I'd vote for 2" to keep velocity up. |

Music,oh yeah.I've got shorty headers on my rig, little bitty glass packs up close to collectors and 2 1/4's side by each all the way back kicked out behind the tires.Sweet,I mean it will break house windows if I had the brass to really let it rip |
