I am considering an upgrade to later model radiator in my 63 Valiant. The cars I am considering are the F bodies, or possibly a later model A body with slant six (I would assume the V8 models have larger inlets/outlets). My question is, will the upper and lower radiator hoses from the later model car fit into the early A-body after the upgrade? Have any of you folks out there done this before? Thanks in advance, Pete Vanderlaan Virginia Beach, VA pmvdlaan@picusnet.com |

I believe the rad hoses are all the same (trim to length), and the rad mounts are 2-3" wider on the '68 Dart. You can drill 2 new holes in later model rads to match the early A pattern. For early rads in later A's, you need a sheet metal spacer to extend one of the sides/mounts of the rad. Also, my '68 radiator was offset toward the engine, so you may need a shorter fan spacer for the late rad to early car swap. Otherwise, there should be no clearance issues.
