I have just been given my grandmothers 72 Dart swinger . I would like to retorque the head and adjust the valve lash , but I'm unsure of the specs . I've gathered the torque is 65ftlbs and the valve lash should be 0.010" in. and 0.020"ex. can anyone confirm this for me ?

Welcome on the board. Congratulations on your new-to-you Dart. Your first step should be to buy at least the FSM (and possibly the other two books) described in this thread.

It will not be necessary to retorque the head. Here is the valve adjustment procedure and specs.

You will probably want to go through and do some tune-up and maintenance work. Advice on parts selection and technique is in this thread.
