| Post subject: | exhaust leaks |
i have 2 exhaust leaks already found - 1 is exhaust manifold to headpipe - i did read the info on making sure pipe flange is good and flat - will try and do so - it also looks like someone may have tried to use 2 gaskets but untill i pull it off cant be sure - 2nd leak is at rear of exhaust manifold where heat riser rod comes thru - am i missing a bushing or ? - is there a fix? - oo3 |

#1) Be sure the exhaust pipe does not hit the engine block, this can prevent full flange to flange contact and prevent even gasket compression at the flange. #2) Yes, there is a bushing that can be worn or missing. If missing you can press-in another one with-out removing the manifold set. DD |

1 - actually it looks like it might have a slightly larger gap on engine side of manifold , pipe is not close to engine - will look into this when i get a new gasket and pull pipe - 2 - so is there a part # for bushing? or a correct size and place to purchase ? exhaust leak noise is annoying - thank you - oo3 |
