Whats the best way to lube the hood hinges? Im having trouble getting the hood up and down without bending it. Thanks Frank |

You ought to be able to break loose the frozen rollers at the ends of the hood torsion bars by using a good penetrating oil such as Kroil or P'Blaster (forget WD40 or Liquid Wrench). Then apply a couple of drops of regular engine oil to the rollers where the bars go through 'em, and to the actual swing hinges. |

After you get it broken loose, I use grease to keep it protected. I pack it with grease and wipe the excess off to make it look cleaner and protect it from sticking again later. |

Try BOAT wheel bearing grease that is water proof. |
