Are there any other disadvantages besides the difficulty of finding a set of 198 rods and a little more cost? As far as advantages some have mentioned: lighter pistons better rod/stroke ratio (better rod angle) ability to get a small amount of quench??? this combo has better detonation resistance??? (would allow slightly higher compression or lower octane to be used) Please feel free to elaborate. Thanks |

2.2 turbo pistons are cheap and easy to fry with nitrous. (Or a turbo or blower, or just a bad tune-up.) |
