Darren, I have used universal boots (both tie rod and ball joint type) from "Dorman" or "Help" brands in the parts store. I don't know that you can order the specific ones for your joints, but maybe a suspension place like "Just Suspension" would have them? Lou madsenl@caltech.edu |

I ordered the tie rod boot for my 1976 Valiant a few years ago from my local Chrysler dealer. Took forever for them to come in. I waited months and months. Just as I finally gave up on them they finally came in. Seems they were making a new batch of them, they were on national back order for a while. The ones I got were fresh and new, still had the mold release powder on them. If I remember right there are 6 tie rod boots on my car. 5 of one part number and 1 different. The different one is on the idler arm. Clean all the crud and goo off of your old boots and carefully look for the part number molded in to them. That's what I did with mine and just ordered the same part number and the number was still a good number. I never tried to order the ball joint boots. I installed new ball joints from JC Whitney, the new boots that came with them were junk, they did not last at all. I installed the new ball joints and boots in winter, when I took the car out of storage in the spring the ball joint boots were cracked, never even drove the car. I think I saved my old boots and will have to dig them out. cfield@ll.net |

Mopar Performance has them in a kit for the entire front suspension. Let me know what kind of car you have and I will give you the part number from the catalog. The seal package includes seals for tie rod ends, pitman arm, upper and lower ball joints, and idler arm. pmvdlaan@picusnet.com |
