Here is another question about kickdown linkages. I'm putting a Holley 390 on my Offy manifold and need to finish the linkage. Can anyone take some close-ups of their 4bbl set-ups or even of an original "Super Six" set-up? I have half of a Super Six linkage (the manifold bracket) but will have to fabricate the rest. I've printed the Hyper-Pak article and previous kickdown posts, but I still need a visual of all the linkages. Thanks, Ben benwa23@hotmail.com |

Here is a close-up of a Super Six linkage set-up on a 390 Holley, this carb is mounted on an Offy intake in a "front to back" fashion. As you can see, the pieces are Super Six and the hook-ups are pretty much stock, the kickdown rod has been "customized" to run directly down to the lever on the trans. (unlike the Super Six's turn buckel arrangement) A "sideways" mounted carb. would need linkage set-up like the one shown in the Hyper Pak article. Hope that helps. DD
