Thanks guys!

Motor is back in the car. I am hoping to get my trans brake trans back in a couple weeks and get that in the car.

Keith has the trans because Griner had an idea to make the servo for 2nd gear apply more holding force. The trans already ahs a Powerglide band installed as an experiment and that worked pretty well too.

Got my 4.56 pig ready to go into the housing too.

All I gotta do is finish installing the engine/trans/rear, install the Cal-Tracs, install the fuel cell and all the plumbing, and "refine" the wiring in the car.

Oh yeah, and deliver the car to my buddy's shop to get the new headers built.

Other than that it's ready to go.

Do you spot-weld your rockers on the bottom between the rocker shaft sleeve and adjuster hole or just run 'em bone stock?

They get a minor amount of grinding for clearance on the retainer. No welding. :D

Hope we can get together sometime this year too Lou. :D

Elam!

Good to see you on the site. Hope all is going great in your beautiful corner of KY. Let us know what you're up to.

Yep, projects are ongoing. My Valiant project should be stompin' the road courses again this Spring and hopefully running 13 sec 1/4 miles... 64 Dart body is finally fixed.

Lou

Hello Charlie, Lou and Dennis. Kentucky is still good I have been farming some playing with the horses Old Rooster is almost 28 now.
I built a 30 chevy roadster pickup put a slant in it a short time then put in a 350 chevy and sold it.
I am about to finish a 1/3 size 23 T roadster for my little neices to play with. It is really cool I used a twin cylinder brigges engine. Built my own tube front end with radius rods a big hurst shifter, a beer keg for a gas tank.
Good to here from youall. A got a slant out the other day thinking about a rail job I have been building my own frames lately. I really love to weld so why not, the little T will be done very soon so I need something to weld on.

Slantzilla,

Compression is a touch under 11-1 according to Mike J.

Camshaft is a 20+ year old Clifford that I bought used from Mike for $50 w/lifters. .558" net lift and 300* advertised duration.

My new junk will have custom Ross 9.5-1 nitrous pistons for 6.7" rods and a Comp Cams nitrous cam. Maybe Mike will give me the specs on the cam when it gets here, maybe he won't.

New junk will be a complete bottle baby, probably never run on muscle alone.
