Hey Everyone,

I have a 1985 Dodge Ram 100. It has a 4 Speed Transmission and a Slant Six. Im wondering if the Clutch Fork and everything from how it is now, will work on a 318? I already have the bellhousing and flywheel to convert it.

Im sorry its not going to be a slant six anymore. Any help would be great though.

Thanks!

Those parts on a car are different from slant to 318. Some of them are the same, but many are not. I wish I could speak with certainty. Duster Idiot probably can give you part numbers that are the same by looking in his books. I am pretty sure the fork, and the Z bar are different. The clutch pedal is the same. I am also pretty certain the ball that mounts on the bell housing for the Z bar pivot is different. These parts are pretty readily available for a V-8 however. Year One sells them. The shifters are the same. The flywheel and clutch plate obviously are different too.

So i've changed my mind. Im going to be smart and stick with the slant six. Where I live, I havent seen many around, especially any that are going to be a little built up.
