So is that a Dodge D50? I'd once considered lengthening the front of a Datsun pickup so I could replace the L series 4 cylinder with an L series 6. A Z-pickup or Zipup. |

Yes that is a dodge d50. Merrill added some length to it and moved the cab back so he could move the engine back for better weight transfer.He hopes to have it ready for racing by the farmington race. |

Yeah, Meril sketched out a double-secret rear suspension system he was working on for this truck. Said it would hook like nobody's business. Then Ron Parker wiped his mouth on the napkin and all was lost. I'd say Ron was jealous of it or maybe worried the design would fall into the hands of Mr. Schumers and he would certainly dominate the 2008 race calendar. I dunno, but I'm thinkin' the D-50 will still be trouble this season. -James |
