What supplier offers stainless 1.72 valves? I have located 1.50 stainless valves, but haven't found 1.72's. Part #'s would be apreciated. Fourgasman@aol.com |

Check Manley, they had Mopar 440 valves in 1.74. Also check Milodon, PAW used to show street ss valves for small Fords @ 1.74 I (45660) and 1.46 E (45665). These are 11/32" stems, and should be the nearly the right height. I used Manley's stock replacement valves for the Ford in our newest engine; S1670 Intake and A1669 Exhaust. Still had to cut down the length (± 0.080") to make the geometry work right with the stock valve gear. Rocker placement on stem is dead on. Unless you are using a turbo, I think the stock replacements are good for any hot street engine. You have to run hard seats regardless of valve material if you run unleaded. sgw041454@aol.com |

I just got sealed power v1927's today, chromed stem and all. Only 3.** apiece. I assumed that I wouldn't need stainless, but I figure I'll only ever do this once. Fourgasman@aol.com |
