Hello all. New to the forum and starting off poorly, I may add, with a tech question. Is a radiator from a '69 Dart a direct, bolt in swap into a '72 Duster ? Both are /6's of course. |

I'm going to tentatively say yes, it will bolt in. I could be wrong though. Do a search and see if anyone's already answered this type of question before. Something else you can do is cross reference the part numbers on Rockauto to see if your rad will work. |

You shouldn't have difficulty with this swap. There might be very minor differences in bolt hole geometry, but no show-stoppers. |

I did indeed do a search before posting, but of course, came up with 1000 hits and no direct answers.I also checked RockAuto beforehand. They do list the same radiator for both applications, but you never know if it's a generic/multi fit piece or not. Thanks for the replies fellas. |

I think it must be a generic bolt pattern because I used a 318, 360 and two different type SL6 radiators, know I am back to stock. They all bolted in, however the hose connections were in different places. Looking at the radiators, I see the flanges are all different but the bolt locations and tranny lines are close enough. |

The bolt holes in the front are the same, where things changed were: hose input and outlets for different engines, tranny line configuration, and whether you had the 19" core or the 22" core... (for the late A-body guys, who want a larger radiator, an F-body one will fit also... and can be skinnier if you have problems fitting in that clutch fan and shroud....) (Got a few different items in the shed to recore if needed... been there, driven that...) -D.Idiot |
