Hey all, anyone have any luck with the Holley 4160-8007 390 cfm four-barrel on a mild(268 MP cam and header)to stock 225? I am thinking of upgrading from the one-barrel eventually and would like to know if anyone has seen improved or worse performance with this carb. chrisstelling@yahoo.com |

I am using one now on a reasonably warmed up Slant, and so far I love it. I see no reason why it wouldn't work for you too. Dennis slantzilla@excite.com |

I am using the Holley 390. Performance has been improved out of the box. I havent done anything to it yet. I plan on re-jetting it and changing some other things. For an out of tune carb I'd say it runs damn good. Gas mileage is on average of 17MPG. Probably 20 on the highway.I am running it with the Offy intake. |

The engine has the head milled .060, a Comp Cam 252S, Offy 4bbl manifold and headers with dual exhaust. Compared to a stock 6, the improvement is like night and day but no one will ever mistake my Barracuda as a fast car. I have not had the car down the strip but compared to other cars I own that I have numbers on I would guess it's mid to high 16 second car. I also have a A833OD 4spd and 3.23 rear gears. I went up two sizes on the main jets, using the yellow secondary spring and have the stock accelerator pump cam in the more aggressive position. The off idle throttle response is great, there is a kick when the secondaries open that can be fixed with the purple secondary spring but I enjoy the sensation. The car gets 20-22mpg in combined driving. I have a 600cfm 4160 that I tried but that's all together too much carb for my set up.
