I've bought them at NAPA in the past.
Just about every Mopar with automatic I have bought has had a leaky selector shaft seal.
There is a tool to remove the seal without droping the VB, and I think one to reinstall. I just drop the VB, knock the out one out from the bottom, then pull the new one in with a bolt, nut and washers. The hardest part is pulling the new seal in flush without getting cocked.

Thanks a lot.

I was searching into past posts about adjusting transmission bands, can anybody give me a quick how to, or give me the link of a good procedure.

thanks a lot again

I posted the timken number in the parts list on the main page years ago, it is still there I think. Called selector shaft seal I think.

When I did this seal before, with the valve body out, pry out the old seal. Next get a bolt and nut combo that will allow you to press the seal in from underneath.

I would install the shift kit since you already have the valve body out(while your at it, drain the torque converter, most, not all, 904's have a drain plug on the front of the TC, behind the inspection/dust cover). Installing the shift kit is realtively painless, just make sure you have a clean work surface and keep track of what you are doing. Most kits come with two stages, I did the stage one, and I can't imagine a stage 2 being tolerable as a daily driver. But to each his own.

I just got that selector seal install/remover tool from E-Bay $10! Sweet!

I used the B and M kit. Have had no problems. Easy install. Many people will tell you that the TransGo kit is the way to go. I have never seen any scientific evidence for this. Never used the Mopar Kit, I wonder who makes it for them? Hmmm...

Anyway, installing a kit will help prolong the life of your transmission bands, and I like the firmer shifts.
