Hello, I'm going to buy a hurst shifter for the 833 OD trans I have. Is it the same shifter used on non-OD transmissions? OR do I need a special part# for the OD shifter? Mine is an A body tailshaft. I need one with a reasonably short handle that curves back for a street rod project. Thanks in advance. Mike |

Same shifter. Buy your handle separately. |

I would agree to that, if getting a junkyard shifter, any dodge/plymouth truck up to 1987 with the A-833 OD tranny will also have the shifter (but the lever and the linkage will be too long...)good luck, -D.Idiot |

I'm using a truck shifter handle in my A body, rev is a little close to the wheel, but works fine.... the standard 3-4 shift arm will not work from A unless you mod it...... OD applications have their own 3-4 arm. http://imageevent.com/jeffc/scampworks? ... =4&s=0&z=2 http://imageevent.com/jeffc/scampworks? ... =4&s=0&z=2 |
