Try the local hardware store. They should have a large assortment of o-rings in the plumbing department.

I wasn't sure if they would take the heat.

I'm not sure what is different between various o-rings, but I have been using the o-rings from the hardware store on the exhaust pipe of my dirtbike, with good results. I think it's worth trying; the o-rings are pretty cheap (less than a buck a piece), so even if they don't hold up right, you won't be out much more than the time it takes to change them. Good luck!

I have a few sets left over from engine overhaul gasket sets. I only have the newer heads that do not need them. If I can find them I can mail you a set for cheap. They have a square cross section, not round like you get at the hardware store.

Hi,
You can get the o rings which are the same as the ones used on Hemi rocker covers from buymopar.com look in restoration parts link. I think they are a standard mopar part number P1947708.

Hey RJ,
I got mine through NAPA - they had them in back on the shelf even! As was posted before, they have a square cross section and worked perfectly for me. Also, they were only a couple of bucks.
Good luck,
Dan

FYI: When I had my shop years ago, we gave up on the stock o-rings because they harden so quickly. We found an o-ring from Motion Industries (#2-218) that is good to 257º. I never had any wear out. You can usually get o-rings from a bearing supply store.
