I talked to the people at Clifford a few weeks back. When they get at least 10 committed orders, they're going to do another run. The price is right at 400.00 a manifold, you won't be charged until they actually start casting them. For what it's worth, my neighbor and I each want one and I'll be calling them back this week to confirm. I think they had a couple of orders already, so it looks like we're a third of the way there. |

If going for the hyperpak intake, you need to make sure of a few things: 1) Winter temperatures are not below about 40-50 degrees, this manifold has serious heating issues and will not be able to be daily driven without some kind of immediate heat box... (do a search for my DIY trial and error to make this work) 2) Make sure you're ready for any engineering to be done, the manifolds come with nothing for accelerator cable mounting, etc... you will also have to whip out the die grinder and 'massage' the manifold so the triangular washers will work if using dutra duals, clifford headers use a different kind of mounting system... 3) Be ready to cut your hood open, since Clifford no longer uses Doc's jig to drill the carb mounting holes, you give up another 1/2" of manifold to hood 'rib' clearance... 4) I would also highly suggest making sure to bump up the compression, be ready to change your timing, clean up the ports and bowls in your head, and get a better than stock camshaft, the Hpak really likes to ram tune and the stock cam isn't so great for taking advantage of the manifold's 'sweet spot' in the 3500-5500 rpm range (the stock cam kind of runs out by 4000...) 5) you might also consider spending the extra money locally and having the intake plenum split in half with a divider, it helps keep reversion down and gets better mid range torque as well as making the carb easier to tune Good Luck, -D.Idiot |

You also might try the NEW AUSSIE intakes. They are due out this month and are easy to import for about the same money. Frank |
