My new 390 Holley has no port for hooking the PCV hose. Right now it is simply disconnected. I have a threaded port in the number 6 intake runner and a tree with two small taps.(1/4 and 3/16?) I am considering changing out the tree with something that has three ports, but I wondering about that cylinder leaning out with all the crank case gases going only to that cylinder. I this the problem I suspect it will be? Or I can remove my 1/4" carb insulator now that the intake is not heated and find a spacer and drill and tap the port. Maybe for that matter, drill and tap the intake on the driverside horizontaly straight in. Your thoughts please. |

Do not connect the pcv to a runner. You can use a spacer under the carb, or possibly drill and tap into the plenum of the manifold. PS: my 390 carb has a PCV port. |
