Is that the mechanical secondary carb that was so cheap the secondary side didn't even get an accelerator pump? The chokeless part will be a pain in cold weather starting, but the lack of secondary accelerator pump will likely be a pain every time you open the secondaries. I'll keep my electric choke vacuum secondary Holley 390.

Yep, or you can still order the Holley 1848, which is a 450 cfm 4160 carb if you need the extra little bit of flow... (I have one of these for the summer tuning on the Hpak duster since the 390 is a bit small for it, but 600 is too much, and I wanted to start fresh on dialing in a new carb and wanted to convert to a manual choke for winter driving...

I took the choke off of my 4160 over a year ago. I drive it daily and have no cold starting problems, hit the gas turn the key and hold it at 1800 rpm for 1 1/2 - 2 min and drive off.
