I need to replace the windshield on my '81. I found a good one at the boneyard where I got my steering gearbox. Any simple tricks for replacing it?

That would be a gasketed glass rather than a glue in. Pull the (probably used to be) chrome strip out of the rubber around the window then you can work the glass out of the weatherstrip, Take someone with you to help hold/support the glass as it comes loose from the retainer/weatherstrip! Be carefull, resist prying as much as possible as any pressure concentrated in 1 area will render that replacement as junk.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if the gasket came out of the truck with the windshield, or if the glass came out by itself.
