So this is my Cuda I just got a few days ago from Kansas.
I'm pretty excited to say the least. This is my first Mopar and I'm sure it won't be my last. I love this car....

Anyway, this vehicle has factory A/C, a slant six (of course) with a single barrel carb and no power steering or power brakes.

I was wondering what I should do with this vehicle.
Will my vehicle be worth less if I modify it?
Can I modify my vehicle (i.e. dual barrel carb, cam, headers, etc.) and it still retain it's value if I keep the original parts?

Thanks for the input....

Color me green with envy! I've been wanting a notchback for about 17 years now... Congratulations!

With all of the E and B body cars selling for more than most of us can afford people are starting to look at our beloved A bodies and they are going up in price.

As far as collectability,... I wouldn't venture a guess. I say do what you want to it because it is your car and you should enjoy it. It's not a Hemi Cuda or even a 340 Formula S, etc. So likely modifications shouldn't hurt its value in the long term.

Do some searching through the various threads here to see the long list of performance upgrades you can do to it and get the three books recommended by SlantSixDan.

Welcome to the Slanted Family!

Yah, I could put a V8 in there, but then it wouldn't be a Slant 6 now would it!

AWESOME!
Well I plan on keeping my Slant Six for a long time, as gas is rediculous and makes no sense to have a V8 (until I'm rich or I find petroleoum in Beverly Hills :D ).

Thanks for the input and hope to talk to you guys again.

PS: What 3 books would that be? I definetly need to catch up on my reading with Slant Sixes...

Congrats on the find and welcome to the asylum! SlantSixDan has a list of 3 books that he always recommends; one, and the most important in my opinion, is the original Factory Service Manual. Information can be found at: http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15780

Growing older is unavoidable but growing up is strictly optional.

well frist off awesome car! i have always loved cuda's.
i have no idea if the value will drop because of mods / proformance upgrades, but i reccomend a super six upgrade, i am presently getting ready to do one to my 73' dart. it was a lot cheaper than the other options.

second get a service manual, they are avil on cd rom or there are some books avil also.

welcome to the forum! i can't even go on about how helpfull it is has been to me!
